Ford Rangers that have the 4.0 V6 engine, however, use a tire size of 245/75R16 and a rim size of 7Jx16 ET12.

2013 – 2022

If your Ford Ranger has the 2.3L EcoBoost 4 cylinder engine, then it uses a tire size of 255/70R16 or LT265/65R17 and a rim size of 7Jx16 ET55 or 7.5Jx17 ET55.

What Does The Tire Size Mean?

The first number is the width of the tire in millimeters. So, a P215/65 R15 tire has a width of 215 millimeters. The second number is the ratio of sidewall to width. So, that means that a P215/65 R15 tire has a sidewall height of 140mm (215 * 0.65).

The letter indicates a tire’s performance letter. R is more-or-less standard, while Y or Z-rated tires are ultra high performance.
